Weight & Metabolic Health · Online, with a physician

Weight and metabolic health, with a nurse in the loop.

Licensed physicians decide what's appropriate and prescribe it. Medication arrives at your door. And you have a 20-year nurse and former diabetes educator to explain what it means, help with your injections at home, and keep an eye on the whole picture.

What this is

What is metabolic health?

Metabolic health is how well your body turns food into energy and keeps blood sugar, insulin, blood fats and blood pressure in a healthy range. When it slips, you feel it before any test shows it: weight that won't move, energy that drops in the afternoon, cravings, poor sleep. It's also where I spent years as a patient educator, helping people with diabetes understand their numbers and change them. That's the part most online programs skip.

Four things metabolic health keeps in range

01

Blood sugar

Steady through the day, not spiking after meals

02

Insulin

Cells that still listen to it

03

Blood fats

Lipids in a healthy range

04

Blood pressure

Low and steady

Illustrative. Your physician reads your actual numbers; I help you understand them.

A starting point

Where are you starting from?

Body mass index is a blunt tool, but it's where most conversations about weight begin. Enter your height and weight to see where you fall. Your physician looks at the whole picture: labs, history, how you feel, what you've tried.

BMI is not a diagnosis and does not decide whether medication is appropriate for you. That is a physician's decision.

Compounded medications are prepared by licensed pharmacies and are not FDA-approved. They have not been reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality. Your provider prescribes a compounded medication only when it is clinically appropriate for you. Compounded GLP-1 availability follows current FDA guidance and may change. A continuous glucose monitor does not diagnose diabetes. Lab draws are available where our lab network operates and are confirmed at booking.

The nursing part · In your home

Your first injection shouldn't be a YouTube video.

Many of my nursing clients are on weekly injectable medication. I come to the house, we go through the pen or vial together, you take your dose with a nurse beside you, and we do it again next week if you'd like. Once you're confident, you're on your own, and I'm a phone call away. The same visit can cover your other medications, your questions, and your family's.

What I've seen work

The medication starts it. Habits keep it.

Twenty years of nursing, and years teaching people with diabetes, taught me one thing about metabolic change: the prescription is the easy part. What holds is protein at every meal, movement you'll actually do, sleep, and someone who notices when you drift. I'm not your coach and I'm not your physician; I'm the nurse who makes sure the plan they wrote fits the life you live.

Results vary from person to person. Your physician manages your medication.

For the nursing side, yes. Injection support and medication setup work with any prescriber's plan.
